Sunrise: Sunset: everyone loves to photograph them

I have never met anyone with a camera who wasn't proud of a sunset or sunrise they have taken.

These are carefully selected from the web and I'm sure anyone who aspires to be a photographer either professional or amateur will love them. I do. And, yes I do have some spectacular ones of my own but they are for sale, not for placement here.

How many of you have attempted to capture that sudden and fleeting sunrise or sunset in a location which is clear of the clutter of buildings and high rises, it's hard isn't it. Some of my best were taken on the harbour and even there it was difficult.

Out in the country or on the sandy shores are very good places to go, a park or a rain forest but it's not often we find ourselves placed in pristine places is it?

You will need to adopt the photographers philosophy - Always have your camera with you, and the girl guide's motto, be prepared.

It is so hard to predict what your camera will deliver you. On a flat piece of paper those shots appear entirely different from what the eye sees and I guess that is why most professional photographers throw away most of their photos, selecting only the best. You will need patience and a certain temperament and a willingness to keep trying.

I hope these images inspire you and take you forward on your photographic journey. A picture is worth a thousand words. I wonder if they know that here on hub pages.
